BCP Enterprise Adviser Network

Careers Education Network Consists of Volunteers who Lead Local Business

Business Leaders from across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole met for the first time on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 to discuss their new roles as Enterprise Advisors in Local Schools. Acting as volunteers on behalf of the Careers and Enterprise Company, this first networking breakfast events fostered new and collaborative relationships with discussions focusing on changing the Careers Education in schools locally.

Hosted by Bournemouth and Poole's Senior Enterprise Coordinator, Catherine Beater and Enterprise Coordinator, Laura Bush, at the Arts University Bournemouth.

"The CEC is passionate about careers and is working with 25 schools and Enterprise Advisers to embed the National Careers Strategy. Bournemouth and Poole CEC works with nearly 25,000 young people."

The meeting agenda welcomed discussions on how Enterprise Advisers working with individual schools are able to have a positive impact on young people.
Moving forwards, this network will share ideas and best practice with the aim to help Careers Leaders deliver excellent careers education in schools.
