“Public Health Dorset and BCP DACT are offering colleagues in Adult and Children's Services the opportunity to attend an important webinar: “From Awareness to Action: Your role in Preventing Drug Related Deaths”, which is taking place on 27 November 2024 12-1pm.
“The webinar will give local insight into the current drug threats and launch the new Pan-Dorset Local Drug Information System (LDIS). The LDIS is a vital new tool aimed at providing a faster, more coordinated response to non-fatal overdoses, drug-related deaths, and emerging drug trends. In this webinar, you can also find out your role in preventing drug related deaths and non-fatal overdoses.
“If your role involves supporting people affected by drugs or alcohol or you have contact with them, this session is designed especially for you. We also welcome those who have an interest in preventing non-fatal drug overdoses and drug related deaths.
Why attend?
By joining this webinar, you will:
- Receive useful information on the current drug threats affecting residents across the pan Dorset area.
- Understand how you can contribute to harm reduction, helping prevent overdoses and saving lives.
- Get an in-depth overview of the LDIS and learn how to use it effectively in your role.
“This is a valuable opportunity to improve your knowledge and be part of a coordinated effort to tackle drug-related issues in our community.
