Service
The Family Information Service is a free, impartial and confidential service for parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-19 years (or up to 25 years where the child or young person has Special Educational Needs or Disabilities).
We provide information, guidance and assistance on a range of areas including:

Childcare options and funding for childcare, including a childcare brokerage service providing one-to-one support for parents or carers to help find suitable childcare

Activities for children, young people and families

Services for children and young people with SEND and their families

Signposting for school uniform

Foodbank vouchers/community fridge information

Signposting to other BCP teams and external organisations

Attend networking events (bringing organisations together to support families together)

Outreach at locations such as recruitment fairs (DWP), childcare online sessions via Universal Credit, Faithworks Wessex Lone parent coffee mornings, BCHA events, NHS meetings

Research on more options for the FID and marketing campaigns

Link with other BCP teams to support families
